Jaykit was thoroughly bored with his life, despite the fact that he wasn't even one moon old yet. It was probably because of the fact that he didn't do much all day except for hide.
So he had decided one day that he was actually going to bother to meet someone. But he didn't know anyone other than his mother and littermates, and really didn't know who exactly to meet.
So instead he sat in the middle of the WillowClan camp, hoping that someone would mind to come up to him instead of him having to approach someone. Yup ... Jaykit just didn't like being very social.

Snakekit walked around the nursery half bored out of her mind and half scared someone was going to talk to her. She had no problem starting a conversation, but when someone talked to her, she just froze. Suddenly she ran into something. Bouncing back she saw it was a kit. "Sorry." she whispered.

When he was hoping that someone would come up to him, he didn't mean for someone to bump into him. Upon impulse, the mostly light blue tom rounded on her, eyes flashing. Watch where you're going, will you!
Then realizing that he had snapped, his eyes grew round, and he let out a rushed apology. S-sorry. Well that was just great. Wanting for someone to talk to, and the first cat that comes up to him, he snapped at.
That just showed how great he was at being social, and making friends. Jaykit was probably going to live a life of loneliness. And now he was feeling sorry for himself. Frustrated, the tom let himself fall to the ground, and placed his paws over his ears.

Snakekit stopped and stared. She placed her tail on the kit's shoulder. "Hi my name's Snakekit. Who are you?" she asked softly. She lay next to the kit. He seemed as old as her. Now she could make a new friend. Maybe he could help her become less shy. That would help a lot with her life. Her tail came off the kit and flicked back and forth slowly behind her.

Jaykit was a bit surprised that she hadn't reacted to his burst-out. He slightly relaxed from his tensed position, and nodded to acknowledge her introduction. Snakekit ... it suited her well enough. Sort of.
It's nice to meet you, Snakekit. My name's Jaykit. It suit him really well, not just saying, like he had thought about Snakekit. His pelt defied nature was a light blue color, and his paws covered with black socks. His blue tail was ringed with black, and tipped with white at the tip, the same color as his belly.
It was quite an unusual pelt, he knew that much. But oh well. It made him unique, different from other cats.

Snakekit smiled. This cat could be her friend. She knew that. She looked at his pelt. Jaykit. That suited him well. "So, what do you want to do now?" Snkekit asked. Oh look. She was already becoming less shy. Her green eyes shown. She got up from her laying down position. She wanted Jaykit to just hurry up and say something, but she thought otherwise. It would be weird for her. And she wanted to make friends. Yelling at them to hurry up was not the way.

The jay-like tom glanced around camp. It seemed completely empty, except for the one willow tree that overhung the camp barrier, and the fresh-kill pile in the middle. The clan still seemed puny, even with all the coming kits.
He turned his eyes back to his companion at the sound of her voice, then thought it over a bit. What was there to do anyways? They couldn't go into the territory, and everything other idea seemed boring.
Jaykit answered her after a moment. I don't know. What's there to do? He got up from his position and dragged his paw across the ground, wondering what they could do.

Snakekit shrugged. "There's not much to do." she said. Looking around, she suddenly said, "Do you have any other friends?" she hoped she wasn't being nosy.

Jaykit shrugged dismissively. No. It didn't bother him that much, despite the fact that he had wanted to meet new people today. He told himself that he didn't need friends, that they were just a bother.
At least, some of them were. But it didn't really matter to him whether or not he had friends. After all, there couldn't be more than 10 cats in the clan. Or at least somewhere around that number.
The nature defying tom went back to his laying position, head on his black paws. His light eyes tilted upward and surveyed the sky, and everything else around it. Maybe he would have more to do when he was an apprentice ... though he somewhat doubted it.

Snakekit nodded. About everyone in the clan was her friend... Sort of. There wasn't really any cat she didn't know besides the new kits there were to meet."How many brothers and sisters do you have?" Snakekit asked then came into silence. What was she doing? Turning into Birdflame? She asked herself. Then shook her head. That was somewhat disrespectful. Snakekit was about ask another question when she thought better of it. First let Jaykit answer the first. She told herself.

Jaykit had to think for a long while before remembering how many littermates he had. He honestly hadn't bothered to keep track of them, though he had remembered hearing something about three of them having a killing illness.
He wondered if they would die.
Maybe they would, maybe not. How was he to know? Jaykit wasn't in control of their lives. At last, he realized that he hadn't answered Snakekit's question yet. Four. Simple little answer. If the world was as simple as his answer was, wouldn't they all be happy?
The tom rolled over onto his back, and stared up at the sky, where a flock of birds were passing through. Some of them appeared to have blue feathers. Hmm. He mentally shrugged and gave a brief glance to Snakekit.

Snakekit nodded. "I have three other siblings." she said. Snakekit decided to lie down again. She lay down and rolled over next to Jaykit. She thought about her siblings.
She hadn't seen them around. Maybe she could ask her mother. She wanted to ask more questions to her friend, but thought that it would be nice to have quiet with her not blabbering about and asking somewhat annoying questions.
Her talking would just ruin the moment. She looked up at the birds with Jaykit. She couldn't hold it in anymore. "One of them looks like you." she said quietly sort of ruining the moment, but not that much. She pointed her paw towards the sky at a bird that looked a bit different from the others.
