Fawnstep had awoken earlier in the morning going out a little after sunrise. The clan was small so they did not really have to worry about food as much. So the pile was small, but enough to feed three cats. The reason she woke up so early was a mystery to her also. She just had an urge to go into the territory outside of the camp. Her multicolored eyes scanned the territory around her. The willow trees hung to low for most birds to lay nest and sometimes it was annoying when you had the urge to jump into a tree. The tree could not hold a cats wait. Yawning she wished silently that she had not woken up as early as she did. Sitting down she scanned the territory once more before closing her eyes so she could just listen to the nature around her. A few times little noses made her ears flick, but nothing bothered her.

Birdflame liked to take walks. When they were short and there was enough cold air. She was picky. She saw the clan deputy out and walked over. "Hello!" she said cheerfully, but still in a somewhat quiet voice. She sat down next to the she-cat and listened to the birds sing their songs.

Fawnstep opened her eyes slowly when she heard the bright cheerful hello coming from Birdflame. She smiled a little and said back to her in a calmer voice "Oh, hello Birdflame. How are you?" She watched as the cat sat down beside her listening to the birds as she had just been doing. Sitting up a little she stretched and let another yawn escape from her muzzle. Than she said "The birds do sound very beautiful yet it is sometimes sad that they are so tasty." She licked her muzzle to emphasize how she felt and than turned her head towards Birdflame.

Birdflame smiled and nodded. "I'm doing fine. The birds are very tasty, but even their warning calls sound pretty, most of the times. Birdflame looked around. "The clan seems so empty. It's Newleaf, they should be enjoying places outside of their dens. And, we don't have many kits around either. Kits are the ones who bond the clan." she said then looked at the deputy for a reply.

Nodding she sighed and shook her head. "I really feel bad for poor Owlkit. He is all alone!" She stood up and said "Maybe you can let Orangepaw play with him once in awhile." She shrugged and said "although it is your choice since she is your apprentice." She laughed a little and flicked her ear in the direction of another small bird sound.

Birdflame nodded. "There will be queens."StarClan told me that there will be a queen soon." she joked. Although usually that was no laughing matter. "Orangepaw can play with Owlkit I guess but once there are more kits, she will have to get busy."
