Three new kit's and l(o)ving them

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine had just moved back into the nursery after she almost gave birth in the forest but made it just in time too the medicine cat den. She layed there in her nest tail curled around her three brand new kit's suckling at her belly. She purred softly as the suckled and moved at her belly. She licked the top of their heads and layed her head on her paws and purred softly. She stared at the nursery entrance waiting for someone to come in hopefully Dreamstar or anyone else.

[Ravenkit]

I was the biggest of the litter, and I didn't know why. I was also the first to have my eyes open. I looked up to my mother. She didn't look like me. But there was a smaller kit that looked like me, but younger. I crawled towards her little body for closer inspection. Her scent was different from mine: more flowery. I smelled more woodsy.

I mewed to my mother and hobbled up to her face. My little legs moved me only so fast towards her. Once I got close enough, I opened my little mouth and asked,

"Mother, why am I so different from the other kits? I'm bigger and my eyes are open."

[Crescentkit]

The youngest little kit was unaware that she looked nothing like her sister or her brother. All she could do was listen. When she heard her older brother say something about his size she sat there wondering why she could not see anything. Crescentkit was pretty sure her eyes were open, but she could not see the pelts or fur of her siblings and mother that she felt. She was not scared, but instead she was oddly calm. She cuddled close to her mother staying in silence trying to see through the darkness. Finally after she listened to her brothers question she asked her own question "Mommy, why is it so dark? What color is your fur? What color is my fur or my siblings?" You could hear the small form of confusion in her voice. She sat up more intently wondering why she could not see. Though maybe she was making a big deal out of nothing. It could be that she had not open her eyes yet and she actually hope that was true. Than she felt that that was not true. She leaned near on her mother waiting for the answer. Crescentkit was not sure if her mother would answer all of her questions, but she tried anyway. [/color]

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine saw Ravenkit crawl over to her. She sighed...it's time to tell him. Ravenkit...you are an adopted kit of mine. I found you blind and helpless a new born kit struggling to crawl. I took you in before a had Cresentkit, Nightkit and Eaglekit but I will always claim you as my own, she meowed licking his head. She picked him up and brought him closer to her so she could clean him.

She looked over to see Cresentkit. She grabbed her as well and and let the other two sleep. Honey when you were born the medicine cat Brokencloud told me you were going to be blind... she trailed off and sighed. She would be true to her kit's and not to lie to them.

[Ravenkit]

My heart raced as I awaited the answer, but when the answer that I had been adopted came, I oddly was not surprised. I nodded slowly, staring at the ground.

It makes sense... I'm older than the others.

I licked my mother's nose and showed my teeth in a crooked grin. I gazed into her warm eyes, not even caring if she wasn't my biological mother. I would always love her just the same. She would always be mine. I'll be the first to admit that I let out a little purr of comfort as I nuzzled up to her chest.

"I still count you as my mother, and I love you just as much."

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine nuzzled Ravenkit. I love you very much, she purred as she pressed her and Cresentkit close to her as the others slept quietly. She curled her tail around the two asleep and the other two closer to her chest.

[Ravenkit]

I nuzzled up to Hopeshine and listened quietly as my purrs melted with hers. Crescentkit's speckled body pressed up against mine and I indulged in the warmth that the two she-cats provided.

But the enjoyment did not last as my little purrs of happiness faded to little snores of sleep, and my joy faded to unconsciousness. All I could hear as I drifted off was the light buzzing of purrs and little mews of kits. And the world faded to black around me.

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine saw Ravenkit fall into a deep sleep. She picked him up and put him back next to Nightkit and Eaglekit. She looked back down at Cresentkit and waited for her response.

[Crescentkit]

The young she-kit was not surprised, but she had hoped that she was at least a little wrong. Sighing she asked "So what do we look like?" Her question almost seemed a little drained of hope. She wished she could see the other kits fur and wished that she was not born like this. Crescentkit laid her head on top of her mothers warm body as she looked towards the general direction of where she though her mother was. Than she said "Maybe when we are aloud outside the nursery you could walk me around and tell me what each cat looks like." She closed her eyes and opened them as if that would change anything.[/color]

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine smiled at her. I am white with brown patches and crystal blue eyes. Ravenkit and Nightkit are both tuxedo black and white cats. Eaglekit is a brown tabby and you are a brown Bengal with hazel eyes, she purred licking her head. The others can also help with that as well or you can ask the cat too. I'll gladly tell you what everyone looks like when I see them, she meowed sweetly.

[Dreamstar]

Dreamstar poked her head into the nursery. She saw her sister talking with her kits, and she purred.May I join you?She looked at her sister, with love in her warm gaze. She would love these kits as her own, just for her sister. But also for herself.

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine looked up to see her sister Dreamstar walk into the nursery. Hello Dreamstar, she purred softly to her and kept licking Cresentkit. Meet Cresentkit, Nightkit, Eaglekit, and Ravenkit, she meowed pointing to all of them with her tail.

[Crescentkit]

Hearing that the leader of her clan was here her mouth dropped open. But she closed it and said while waving her tail "Hi!" Than she sniffed the leader putting her into her memory. Than she said to either one of the she-cats "What does Dreamstar look like?" She knew that she was related to the leader, because her smell was very close to her mothers. She purred as she finally acknowledged the licks from her mother, but she waited for her answer patiently.

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine giggled. Dreamstar is a silver tabby she-cat with aqua blue eyes, she purred sweetly to her daughter. This is Cresentkit. She's blind, she meowed with a sigh.

[Nightkit]

The tuxedo kit had been sleeping the whole time through the conversation, and her eyes flew open as she suddenly awoke when the sound of a rather excited voice. She'd learned enough to know that it had been Crescentkit who had spoken. With a little groan, she got up and blinked once as she realized that it was the leader, Dreamstar, who had joined them. Nightkit hung back, staring at silvery-gray tabby [?] when Crescentkit asked what Dreamstar looked like. Could she not see for herself? Of course, she was still young, and hadn't learned yet that her sister was blind. Nor that Ravenkit had been adopted. She could sleep through most things.

But she waited by her mother's side, and hoped she would hear something that would help her with it. She wasn't much of a cat to ask questions, as to stay quiet and find out.

[Hopeshine]

Hopeshine saw Nightkit approach. She wrapped her tail around the tuxedo kit's and purred. Nightkit met my sister Dreamstar, she purred sweetly.

[Dreamstar]

Dreamstar purred at the kits.Hello, Little ones!She lay down so she wa at eye level with the kits. They were all beautiful little kits, just like their mother.Have you all seen the camp, yet?
