A young orange and white face poked through the Nursery entrance. Light brown eyes shined within the darkness of the den. The brown orbs were full of life and youth and upon the face was the same. Young little Orangepaw had dropped by the Nursery to visit the Queens, well that's what she told Birdflame, her true desire was to come and see the kits and hoped she would be able to play. Every time she visited the Queens they were healthy and well and Orangepaw would return to Birdflame with the same old boring news and report the health statues of each Queen and their kits. Orangepaw was annoyed with such things and this time would not return after getting the needed information. "Hello," Orangepaw called with a young and warming voice.

Littlefeather squeezed into the nursery. She wasn't surprised to see Orangepaw here. Hello Orangepaw, she meowed sweetly licking her on her head. She padded over to her nest. What can I help you with today? she asked with a tilt of her head.

Orangepaw turned her head as she head the sound of paw steps from the entrance. As she turned her light brown eyes fell upon a calico she-cat with a growing belly. It was the sweet Littlefeather a former kittypet who was let into the Clan. It was later that they found out about her littler of kits. It was possible that Littlefeather's kits would be Orangepaws first chance to help deliver kits. She was rather exited to learn how everything goes and what to do. What herbs are needed in the process and much more. Orangepaw felt a sandpaper tongue wipe her forehead and Orangepaw did nothing to resist. She didn't really mind, but she was not kit earthier. "Oh you know the normal. Birdflame sent me to check up on you and your kits. So how have things been here? How have you been? Any thing we should know about?"

Littlefeather nodded her head and smiled sweetly at the medicine cat apprentice. I've been fine, just can get bored being in the nursery for a long time and sort of stuck in here. I don't have any kits yet so their fine, she meowed in a little giggle as she rubbed her belly. Other then that I'm fine. How about you. How are you doing? she asked sweetly to Orangepaw.

Orangepaw let a grin sneak across her face as Littlefeather explained her explain her current statues. As Orangepaw thought she was right on the dote. Nothing was wrong with the Queen and their was no need for Orangepaw to even come here, but she really didn't mind. This gave her time to sneak away from her training with Birdflame and she rathered liked the time off. Of course she knew this was wrong and that she should train hard because one day she would be the only medicine cat in Willowclan, but that would not happen for such a long time, so Orangepaw wanted to enjoy her life. "Well I'm glad that you are feeling good and that your kits are doing well too. Just make sure you eat good fat prey because you not only feeding yourself, but also your kits. As for your question, I'm doing well. Birdflame is a amazing person and I repect her very much, but I still like to sneak out. I mean I hate to be stuck in that den all the time and reporting on herbs and health of the Clan, such as you." Orangepaw giggled as she thought of how silly she was acting, but she didn't mind. "So I thought I would hang in the nurery a little while, play with the kits and such."

Littlefeather giggled at her comment. Well at least I'm not the only one that hates being in a den for too long when I'm not sleeping, she purred. Well I can tell at least you'll be a great medicine cat, she meowed witha soft smile. She always loved that the apprentices did want to work hard but have fun with the kits and talk to the queens as well.

Orangepaw purred as she listened to the Queen. To think that this she-cat once lived in a house surrounded by great pleasures and safety. A soft kitty-pet that wondered form her former luxury life to a life out in the wild. One that is full of danger and sadness. Now that Orangepaw thought on it, she could not make sense on why the Queen left her old home for this. Her past life would have been much better to raise the kits in and her overall life span would be much great. Now as Orangepaw thought on it, the life of a kitty-pet is much more promising then the life of a Clanner. Looking into the Queen's eyes, she spoke with a serious tone, "Littlefeather, why did you leave your life as a Kitty-pet?"

Littlefeather was a little puzzled by the question. No one had ever asked her this before. It was a sad tale but she would tell it. Well...the housefolk or Twolegs that I lived with weren't nice. They never feed me. They would lock me out doors at all hours of the night. They had little kit's that would run around and pull at my tail and my eras and pelt and it would hurt really badly and the parents would just laugh and think it was funny especially when I became pregnant with my first litter. Yes I had a litter when I was a kitty-pet. Thyey would grab my swollen belly and hurt. When my kit's were born one of the youngest kids was trying to grab my newborn kit and I attacked her. After that day I wasn't the same. They took my kit's away the next day and then packed up and left me alone without my kits. I was a loner for about a moon when I met my ex-mate I fell in love with and now I'm having his kits and he could have cared less, she meowed with a sigh. She remembered the two kits that her old Twolegs took from her when she attacked the youngest kid. She doesn't want anyone to touch her new kits, but she had to trust her new clanmates.

Orangepaw listened to the sad story. It was nothing like the tales she had heard about kitty-pet life, the stories told by warriors and the real truth about their lives. Littlefeather had nothing like that. She had a hard life of teasing and unfairness. Orangepaw never really knew that feeling for she got along well with about everyone. Orangepaw looked at the Queen with warm light brown eyes. "I'm glad you left that life for now we can be friends. I can now look over you as a dear friend and even help you with your litter. I'm glad you are part of are Clan Littlefeather." Orangepaw gave her forehead a lick and smiled warmly at her.

Littlefeather smiled sweetly at Orangepaw. Thank you Orangepaw. I'm happy that you welcome me warmly some others don't though, she meowed thinking of the cruel rude warriors.

Orangepaw gave the Queen a warm lick on the forehead with her light pink sandpaper tongue. "Of course Littlefeather. If you ever need help in the Clan, don't be afraid to come and say hello in the den. That also goes for if your not feeling well. If you feel any sign of something you don't know, come to Birdflame, your kits may be in danger." Orangepaw gave the Queen one last smile then turned towards the entrance of the den. "Well I better be off before Birdflame comes looking for me. See you around Littlefeather." With that the little orange and white apprentice ran out of the den.

Littlefeather smiled at her. And feel free tostop by as well not even on a check up, she purred sweetly to the young she-cat. She then layed her head on her paws and starte drifting off into sleep.
