Fawnstep had met most of all the cats in this clan and as she lay in the warriors den she knew she had not met Echostar. She wished that Nightclan would have been a little easier on both of them. Burying her head in her paws she sighed and pulled herself onto her feet. She trotted out of the den and wondered when she would meet the leader. Yes, she would have loved to just go into his den and say hi. But at the same time she was not that type of person to intrude on others. She sat calmly down in the middle of the clearing. The deputy was a little confused on Nightclan's choices. First of all she was only half clan born and yet her father the supposedly clan cat was not really clan born either. She knew that spirits worked in interesting ways. They guided Littlefeather here, which to her meant that they accepted others no matter their background. Taking a deep breath she slid her paw across the ground back and forth as she silently talked to herself.
No noise could escaped her ears though and her ears flicked towards the direction of paw steps. She did not move though since she was not at all afraid. The cat had to be a clan cat for she was standing in front of the entrance to the camp. Shaking her thoughts away she laughed silently to herself as she prepared herself to talk to the whoever was near.

His pale gray eyes focused on the gentle swaying motion of a willow tree right outside the camp, his other senses still tuned into the world. His ears were perked, ready to pick up sound around him, and a gentle breeze blew through the camp. He blinked once, and got up from his position, finally done with whatever he had been doing.
He placed forward one paw after another, slowly making his way to a tortoiseshell [?] she-cat, wondering if it could be Fawnstep. Thinking on it, she was the only cat in the clan that he hadn't met yet. Other than Littlefeather's unborn kits, of course; they were unborn. Nobody had met them yet. He shook his head, shaking away his ever-straying thoughts.
The gray-furred tom paused right behind her, eyes sharp. Then he continued again, until he was next to her, and he sat down. " hello. " His voice was firm and deliberate, completely opposite from how the breezy greeting was supposed to sound. That, and how he was supposed to sound. An anti-social leader. Well, this was better, he supposed. After all, he was, for the first time, meeting his deputy.

Turning to the cat who now sat beside her she said in a kind of quiet yet calm voice "Hello, I am guessing your Echostar?" She felt a little stupid for even asking, but what else was she supposed to do. She was not exactly sure how she was supposed to act around the tom. She had not been raised really inside the clans and for that was not exactly sure how to act around a leader. Though being deputy just came on instinct. Fawnstep turned her head away from the tom and than she spoke again. "I am sorry we have not met earlier. Kind of hard to lead a clan like that." She let her tail calmly sway back and forth behind her as she figured out what else to say. Turing her head back to Echostar she sat silently watching him with her two different colored eyes.
