The sound of heavy panting came from a shadow that ran through the ancient willows who fingers seemed to grab at the shadow that ran within the dark. Clear salty tears fell on the soft new leaf earth and left a wet trail. The shadow was not aware that it ran wildly through the willows for it's eyes were closed and it's mind was clouded with fear of something could only be seen by the shadow.
Heavy footsteps pounded in her ears and the world was dark, but three fingers stood within the darkness. They were grey and only had an outline to them, no real detail. Two where about the same size, the other was massive and big. One of the smaller ones began to fight the larger one, or so it seemed. Her vision was clouded as one of the small grew shadows approached her and picked her up by the scruff. Falling lip she let the unknown shadow take her away. She could feel the pounding of the heart within the shadow that cared her, it was fast and hard. The breath that blew upon her was warm and the wind that pressed up against her face was sharp and cold and made her eyes begin to water. All she could understand was a great fear was in the air. Then everything went blank and the dream became heavy with a black mist.
Orangepaw slowly opened her eyes to see a rock stained with a few red drops. Her vision was blurry and unclear, her heart was beating with in her chest. Her white and orange fur was covered with dirt and earthly objects. She could feel a warm liquid slip through her fur on her forehead. Orangepaw was in a daze and could not make since of anything for her mind was covered with a thick fog. Where was she? Why was she there? What happened?

Ok Littlefeather was sick of staying in the nursery. She didn't care if she gave birth out in the forest. She just wanted to leave camp for the afternoon. She sighed. She spotted one of her favorite trees. She smiled and with all of her might she jumped up onto the first and lowest branch. She layed down with her tail hanging off the tree along with her front paws.
She blinked slowly as she watched patrols pass and they always would scent her and say hello. Her eyes began closing when in the corner of her eye she spotted an orange and white figure asleep and seems to be having a bad dream. She stood up and jumped down with a large thud and padded over to Orangepaw. She crouched down by her and started licking the blood droplets away. Shhh it's ok Orangepaw it was just a dream, she meowed softly licking her head and fur. Hopefully it was just a dream. She was a medicine cat after all.

Orangepaw shifted her gaze from the red colored to a new cat who came into view. The scent of milk filled Orangepaw's pink nose. The voice that reach her ears was very familiar. As her vision began to clear she knew it was, Littlefeather. Her dear Queen friend from the nursery. For some reason the question of why the pregnant queen was out her came to mind. Even thought her mind was still clouded with fog she thought of this. "Littlefeather, why are you outside the nursery?"

Orangepaw released the force that she was using to resit Littlefeather's force in trying to get her down. Orangepaw laid down once again on her side. Her eyes gazed at the grey rock that had a few drops of blood on it that trickled down the it's side. As she looked at the rock her fogged mind began to wonder and ponder of questions she didn't understand. Where was she? Why was she here? Was that a dream and what was the meaning of it? Orangepaw knew nothing of her past and how she came upon the Clan, but she knew she was not of Clan blood. No one knew her family, if she even had any. Their was just her in the dark night. Raised by a she-cat in the Clan, she grew up trying to take the best if life. She tried to appear strong for the Clan so they would not worry about her. She felt like a burden, a big one too. "Hey Littlefeather, I think I can walk now. Maybe we should go back to camp and have Birdflame look at my head."

Littlefeather looked into Orangepaw's eyes. Honey I can tell something is bothering you. You can't deny it, she meowed with concern in her eyes. Please tell me....I love you like my own daughter and I want to help you, she meowed quiety looking into her eyes.

Orangepaw turned her light brown gaze to the calico Queen and then turned away after she spoke. The young apprentice knew this, that she could rest her shoulder upon the trusting older she-cat. Orangepaw knew well that the Queen saw her as her own daughter even thought the blood was different, but Orangepaw thought that she did this with all that were younger than herself, but she was unsure so she spoke nothing of it. In a normal situation Orangepaw would have spoke her mind to the she-cat, to anyone, but right now she didn't know. She didn't understand any of what happened. What she was seeing within the dream, what it meant, why she was having such dreams, and what it had to to with her. Orangepaw knew nothing and thought it was not a wise move to tell what she had seen to the she-cat. Orangepaw wanted to learn more about what was going on in her mind, have a better understanding before she spoke a word of it to another. Orangepaw felt horrible about the idea she came up with to please Littlefeather, but this was her only way. "Don't worry Littlefeather, ever since I was little I have been known for sleep walking and this night I just happened to have a nightmare. I must have tripped and hit my head on a rock." Orangepaw hoped that Littlefeather would not ask further questions or investigate this further by asking the Clan questions about Orangepaw's past nights, for if she did Orangepaw's lie would be unmasked.

Littlefeather narrowed her eyes at Orangepaw. She would one day get this out of her. She could guess what type of nightmare the young she-cat had. It was some sort of vision from Starclan. Yes even though she wasn't clan born she believed in Starclan. Her clanmates told her all about it and she believed them. She sighed a heavy sigh. Fine, I know you're lieing and I'll get it out of you one day, she purred sweetly helping the young apprentice to her paws and shook her head slightly at her.

Orangepaw turned her head away from the she-cat and accepted the help that Littlefeather gave to her. When she was on her paws, she started, slowly to walk back in the direction of camp. As she began to walk her head was heavy yet light and her vision was starting to blur. The bump she had received on her head seemed to be far worse then she had early predicted. Orangepaw started to lean to one side but caught herself. "What's wrong with me? Such things are out of my normal. I have never had such a dream to wear my senses were so enhanced and to were everything felt so real. It was as if I was in the dream as if it were real and true. My body seems to have reacted with the dream for my muscles are tense and my heart still beats out of pace." Orangepaw let her side rest upon an old willow tree her breath was heavy as she released and tried to inhale more. This was not a good situation for her and all she could do was try to make since of what she had seen and felt.

Littlefeather saw that Orangepaw wasn't ok. Her heart beated faster as she watched the she-cat. Ok, Orangepaw you can't hide the fact that something isn't wrong. That was more then just a dream and you know it but you won't tell me. Please just tell what happened, she meowed pleading with the young apprentice. Something just wasn't right and she knew it. Just give me a chance to try and understand, she thought pleading still.

Orangepaw hissed with annoyance. Why could she not just mind her own business and leave what was not her problem alone. Not every cat wished for help with problems and this was a time Orangepaw need to think and gather her thoughts and try to form an understanding of what happened to happened to her. Turning her light brown eyes to Littlefeather she spoke with a voice full of venom, "That's just it Littlefeather, I don't know! I have no idea what happened to me or what is going to happen to me in the future. For all I know this dream I had could lead me to insanity. I don't understand anything and with in head injury I'm not going to anytime soon. Now are you going to help me back to camp or do I need to do that alone?"

Littlefeather flattened her ears. Ok she was getting angry. I don't think I should, she meowed as she started to walk away tail slashing from side to side. she turned around and looked at Orangepaw ears still flattened as she just sat there and stared at her with eyes like daggers. She was very angry at the her right now. If she couldn't tell what happened in the dream then in her opinion she didn't need help with anything. Littlefeather was being dramatic yes, but that she was in her nature of things.
Littlefeather twitched her tail tip with annoyance. She looked away from her and at her paws ears flattened. Littlefeather wasn't in a good mood right now. She had heard very depressing news about her kits and she wasn't in the mood to get yelled at by an apprentice. She looked in the direction of camp and hoping that her two surviving kits were alright Cheetahkit and Jaykit were ok. Her heart started beating so fast.
She was so angry and hurt by the world by everyone that she wanted to scream and yell but she didn't. Her life has been horrible for so long that another bad thing in her life would kill her heart. One mate dead, another had been a jerk. Three kits taken from her by her twolegs. Three dead what more did this horrible have in store for her now. She dug her claws in the soil and bowed her head and snarled silently. I hate my life, she thought angrily.
